WHAT:
PortalSoft’s first product, Portal4Law™, is a single software solution for legal professionals that provides an easy way to quickly store, find, summarize and annotate legal case documents digitally and retrieve and manage client matter.

Portal4Law™ was created by lawyers and legal professionals to address issues that make current systems ineffective for the legal environment. Portal4Law™ includes:

WHY:
Portal4Law™ was created to address the now urgent need for legal professionals to prepare for the federal mandate requiring the accurate transfer of all requested electronic documents in the form they were obtained. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 34(b) requires organizations to “produce electronically stored information (ESI) in its native format, with its metadata intact and to prove chain of custody.” The California Judicial Council has enacted similar rules to take effect in 2009. Many other states have already enacted similar rules and amendments pertaining to ESI.
